Olga Voronova

Olga Voronova studied violin at the Tallinn Music High School and thereafter at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in the violin class of Prof. Endel Lippus. In 1999 she obtained her BA and in 2002 she obtained her MA at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Since 2002 she is studying for her doctoral degree at the academy.  She furthered her skills in 1997–1998 in the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music under Prof. Halida Ahtjamova; in 1999–2000 she studied at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin in the class of Prof. Ilan Gronich and at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht with Prof. Keiko Wataya. She was awarded diplomas at the International Heino Eller Competition for Violinists in 1991 and 1996. In 1998 she was a laureate of the Con Brio competition (she was awarded the Estonian Television Award). In 2000, she was a laureate of the young talent competition carried out as part of the Estonian World Festival ESTO 2000 in Toronto. Since 1995 she is a member of the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and since 2001 a member of the Tallinn String Quartet.
