Jari Valo

Jari  Valo  first  studied  the  violin  with  Juha  Kangas  at  the  Ostrobothnian  Conservatory  and  then  at  the  Sibelius  Academy,  from  which  he  graduated  in  1982. He won  first  prize  in  the  Finnish  Violin  Competition  in  1985.  He  was  leader  of  the Ostrobothnian  Chamber  Orchestra  from  1972 until  1994 and  is  now  leader  of the Finnish  Radio  Symphony  Orchestra.  As  a  soloist he  has  performed  throughout  the Nordic  countries  and  elsewhere in  Europe  as well  as in  Japan.
